The fine print, made friendly
These terms cover the basics of shopping with us, from placing an order to using the things you make. Here is what to expect, in plain language.
Last updated June 2026Agreement to terms
These Terms of Service explain the rules for shopping with KnitterLover. By visiting our site, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to these terms. We have tried to write them in plain language, and if anything is unclear, we are happy to walk through it with you.
Who can shop with us
You must be at least 18 years old, or have a parent or guardian's permission, to place an order. By placing an order, you confirm that the information you give us is accurate and that you are authorized to use the payment method you provide.
Products and pricing
We do our best to describe and photograph every item accurately, but colors can look slightly different depending on your screen, and natural fibers may vary a little from dye lot to dye lot. Prices are listed in US dollars and may change at any time, though we will always honor the price shown to you at checkout.
If an item is listed at an incorrect price because of a typo or a technical error, we will reach out before processing your order so you can decide whether to go ahead at the correct price.
Orders and payment
Placing an order is an offer to buy, which we accept by sending you an order confirmation email. We may cancel or refuse any order, for example if an item is out of stock, if we suspect fraud, or if there is a pricing or listing error. If we cancel an order that has already been charged, we will refund you in full.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By placing an order, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the order total, including shipping and any applicable tax.
Shipping and returns
Shipping timelines, rates, and tracking are covered on our Shipping page, and our return process is covered on our Returns page. Placing an order means you agree to the terms described on those pages.
Our content and your makes
Everything on this site, including text, photos, logos, and any patterns we have written ourselves, belongs to KnitterLover or our suppliers and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You are welcome to use anything you make from our patterns and kits for yourself, as gifts, or to sell finished items you have made by hand. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute our patterns, photos, or site content on their own without our permission.
Your account
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for any activity that happens under your account. If you think someone else has accessed your account without permission, please let us know right away so we can help secure it.
Limitation of liability
We work hard to keep this site accurate and running smoothly, but we cannot promise it will always be free of errors or available without interruption. To the fullest extent allowed by law, KnitterLover is not responsible for indirect or incidental losses related to your use of the site or the products you purchase. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where KnitterLover is registered, without regard to conflict of law rules.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time as our shop grows. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page, so feel free to check back occasionally. Using the site after an update means you accept the new terms.
